UTF-8 and Unicode FAQ for Unix/Linux

Tags:

I have read the following materials. However, I failed to set LANG to ko_KR.utf-8 in my linux box(REDAHT 9.0).

I input strings such as ‘안녕하세요’, but the terminal print ‘씨씨안안안안녕하세.’ I guess the reason of printing broken characters is the lack of support of UTF-8 encoding of the zterm. I also want to note that telnet.exe of Windows XP printed the broken characters.

Anyone who knows the reason of the broken characters?
